We collect: name, email, phone number, address, payment information (processed securely by Base44 Payments), profile photos, booking history, reviews, and messages. For cleaners, we also collect professional documents (DBS, insurance, certificates) for verification purposes.

2. How We Use Your Information

Your information is used to: provide and improve our platform, process bookings and payments, facilitate communication between customers and cleaners, verify cleaner identities, send important account notifications, and prevent fraud.

Lawful basis (UK GDPR Article 6): we process your data under (a) performance of a contract (to deliver bookings you request), (b) compliance with legal obligations (e.g. retaining booking and financial records), (c) our legitimate interests (operating and securing the platform), and (d) your consent (for optional analytics and marketing where you opt in).

3. Data Sharing

We share limited data with: Base44 Payments (payment processing), your matched cleaner/customer (for booking purposes), and regulatory authorities where required by law. We never sell your personal data to third parties.

4. Data Retention

We retain your account data while your account is active. Booking records are kept for 7 years for legal compliance. You can request deletion of your account by contacting hello@cleannear.co.uk.
